2027 Juried Biennial Exhibition Opening Reception
Join us to celebrate the opening of the 2027 Juried Biennial Exhibition. The Juried Biennial at Olin Hall Galleries has been exhibited every two years since 1990. The juried exhibition exemplifies works of art from artists within a 200-mile radius of Roanoke College. All fine arts media are accepted for submission, including, but not limited to, painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design, photography, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, textiles, video, and film.

Marks of Memory Opening Reception
Join us to celebrate the opening of the fall exhibition Marks of Memory. This exhibition that examines time, data, ancestry, and personal experience through the work of three contemporary artists—Veronica Jackson, Annette Lawrence, and LaRissa Rogers—who question what stories get told, who gets remembered, and what data gets counted and recorded. Highlighting printmaking and patterning as physical processes and systems of communication, Marks of Memory explores how personal and collective histories are remembered, preserved, and disseminated.
2026 Studio Art Exhibition Closing Reception
Join us to celebrate the closing of the 2026 Studio Art Exhibition.
The Annual Studio Art Exhibition showcases work by Roanoke College Art Majors and Minors. Exhibited works are from the artists’ area of focus which includes ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. This exhibition represents the wide variety of media, styles, and ideas students explore in the college’s Fine Arts Department.

Thoughts & Prayers Opening Reception
Join Olin Hall Galleries to celebrate the opening of Thoughts & Prayers, an exhibition that explores power, control, and ideology—examined through the lens of a fictional society. Through sculpture, 2D work, and immersive vignettes, artist Jacob Smith constructs a world that mirrors and distorts the structures of Western culture, revealing the absurdities and contradictions embedded within it.
Thoughts & Prayers is a space for speculation, satire, and critique—a place to see the world not as it is, but as it might appear from the outside looking in.
Curator Off Duty Closing Reception
Join us to celebrate the closing of Curator Off Duty, an open exhibition for any and all artists living in Virginia. This exhibition features works in a wide range of media created by artists of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Curator Off Duty highlights the creative diversity of the Virginia visual arts community.
Community Choice Awards will be announced at 7:00pm.
I.M.P.A.C.T. Donation Silent Auction will take place from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase artworks in the exhibition that were donated to I.M.P.A.C.T. by the artists.
Keepsake Collage Workshop with Nancy M. Stark
Explore storytelling and personal memory through the art of collage! In this workshop led by local artist Nancy M. Stark, participants will play with paper, old photos, handwritten letters, stamps, postcards, and more. All materials will be provided, but participants are highly encouraged to bring any 2D materials that are sentimental or have personal significance to include in their collage.
Nancy M. Stark is a painter and mixed media collage and assemblage artist inspired by strong light, shadows, vivid color, and found objects. Stark enters her studio each time with a sense of excitement, anticipation, and play. She carefully repurposes paper memorabilia, found objects, and heirloom photographs to tell stories of our past, triggering memories and inviting us to linger in moments of nostalgia.
Registration is required for this workshop. Tickets are $5.00 per person.
